This course is designed to acquaint the viewer with the many aspects of FEMA 361, ICC Standard 500 and Life Safety Code Requirements and how those Code Requirements affect storm shelter design. Attendees will: 1. Learn to analyze the requirements for storm shelter design and construction based on IBC Section 423 and ICC Standard 500. 2. Be able to list fundamental differences between ICC Standard 500 and FEMA 361. 3. Examine case studies, learn the best designs and construction options for storm shelters. 4.
